Flights

  • Most airline partners transfer 1:1; Cathay and Emirates are 1,000:800 and JetBlue is 250:200.
  • Business Platinum cardholders get 35% of points back when using Pay with Points on their selected airline via Amex Travel.

Hotels

  • Hilton transfers at 1,000:2,000 and Marriott at 1:1.
  • Transfers are final — confirm award availability before moving points.

Watch for

  • Statement credits pay about 0.6¢ per point, so transfers to partner airlines usually beat them by a wide margin.
  • Link the loyalty account in advance; first transfers can take longer to verify.
